The Hello Kitty bottled water is one of the cheapest things on the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck menu. It’s exceptionally cute so you can’t ignore it when it’s your turn to order. Even after drinking the water, I kept the bottle. All the cuteness aside, here are some important facts some of you might care about.
One bottled water was $3 dollars.
This Hello Kitty bottled water is shaped like her iconic bow and the design itself is actually a plastic cover. There are 2 different designs on the front & back. On the sides it spells out “Hello Kitty Café”. The colors on the plastic cover are bright and clean (they don’t bleed off the lines or look stretched).
The bottle is sturdy, unlike other cheaper bottled water where you can easily crush the bottle with your hand after it’s empty. The bow shape actually makes it easier to grip.
The bottle is a PETE 1. If you care about plastic processes, you can do an extensive search for PETE or PET plastics. You’ll find a variety of answers on toxicity and safety; I will leave that for you to judge; below are some articles you can look at or do your own research:
Would I buy it again? No.
The Hello Kitty bottled water is certainly cute, BUT, it’s still just bottled water; I have no reason to buy the same bottle again. I’ll probably fill the bottle with color sand or with small trinkets instead of reusing it to drink. If you want to buy something cheap for someone but still make them happy, this is a good purchase!
