I don’t know about anyone else but I love the fall season and I’m ready for all the pumpkin flavored goodies!
This time, it’s General Mills Pumpkin Spice Cheerios!
I’m not going to lie, I already had the Pumpkin Spice Cheerios cereal before! I believe they came out about 1 or 2 years ago and of course, I had immediately bought them when they first came out! I decided to do a review on them since fall season is rolling by fast.
I’m not crazy obsessed with pumpkin flavored things but I do enjoy it quite a lot, when it tastes good.
These were on special when I bought them at 2 for $5. Depending where you like to shop, price could range between $2.50USD to $5USD the box.
The pumpkin flavor is there but not really. Like many pumpkin spiced items, the cinnamon, cumin and cloves overpower the pumpkin. Pumpkin doesn’t have a very strong flavor, which is why it has so many spices and sugars. It’s a hard thing to balance and while I did enjoy eating this, I still wish there was a more pumpkin flavor to it. Even the oats overpower the pumpkin flavor.
NUTRITIONAL FACTS & INGREDIENTS
The great thing about some of Cheerios’ cereals is that they’re Gluten Free. So if you have a gluten intolerance or allergy, you can enjoy still enjoy all the new Cheerios cereal flavors General Mills puts out.
Would I buy it again? Hmmmn.
Well, I clearly did buy these again because they were on sale. I first had them when they first appeared last year or was it 2 years ago already? My opinion on the cereal hasn’t changed since; they’re good but they’re not my favorite. One critique I have is that the cereal lost it’s flavor. The pumpkin spice or at least the cinnamon would get washed off by the milk after a while.
