Just by seeing the sign, I knew I had to get one. (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ The Starbucks caramel matcha latte stood out the most to me; the earthy look was aesthetically pleasing.
I actually first saw the sign when I first arrived at the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park. Half way through walking the grounds I forgot all about the drink but found the Starbucks incidentally. I actually had several cups of water and a whole coconut like 10 minutes before. I was pretty full already but I couldn’t pass up this chance to try it!
It’s actually called Caramel “Pudding” Matcha Latte.

It was $35,000 IDR = about $2.50USD plus taxes.
They only had 1 size available for this drink: Tall (Medium).
Initially I thought it was all separate: caramel, pudding (like custard) and matcha with milk and coffee. It turned out that the “caramel pudding” was more like a thick caramel syrup; it reminded me of a very creamy dulce de leche.
I was really excited for this drink expecting that the “pudding” part of the name was custard; it would’ve been an amazing combination!
The drink had:
- (Grass) Jelly
I still enjoyed this Starbucks caramel matcha latte but it wasn’t what I imagined. The caramel went well with the matcha and the milk; it made it taste more like condensed milk with matcha but less sweet. The drink was pretty mild in flavor. The jelly added a nice texture similar to boba (tapioca pearls) but didn’t add much flavor to the drink.
