Like all things tiny and kawaii? I’ve never seen cute super mini cupcakes like these before! (´｡• ω •｡`) ♡
I wish I had spent more time and money in Kuala Lumpur. House of Mini was one of the many shops at Sunway Putra Mall that I couldn’t pass up. By the time I noticed this place, I only had 1 day left in the city.
I didn’t get to try their mini donuts, which were decorated in the cutest of ways; I didn’t even get the chance to take a photo. Although none of their Facebook pages have been updated in years, you can still check them out for more information:
While I didn’t get to try every single cupcake flavor, I did try most of them. At this particular shop, they had a total of 15 different flavors. I tried 12 of them so I only missed Chocoholic, Star World and Chocopop. Check out my review for the rest of the flavors below!
As you already know, you can find this shop at Sunway Putra Mall. Once you’re inside, find the escalator or elevator and head to the lower level 1 floor down. Walk towards the back, around center of the floor (LG, 28C).

I’ll be honest, I almost didn’t shop here. I’m used to paying these types of prices for a decent slice of cake. However, I considered that the extra time it would take to decorate each tiny cake makes up for the lack of cake. I think the price is worth it. The special they had were:
- 9RM ($2.15USD) for 6 cupcakes
- 17RM ($4.06USD) for 12 cupcakes
- 34RM ($8.12USD) for 24 cupcakes
It’s hard to explain how truly “mini” these mini cupcakes were. The bread was about 2.5cm (almost an inch) in diameter and most were 4cm (1.5in) – 5cm (1.9in) tall. These are literally “bite sized” cupcakes. These are so small that even children can eat them in one bite. It’s impossible to bite half of it without destroying it.
This cupcake had a fluffy frosting like marshmallow. The taste was like a nutty vanilla with chocolate.
The frosting was my absolute favorite from this cupcake. It was thick and smooth. I had mine in the fridge before eating it and it was very satisfying.
This cupcake had a soft whipped frosting. I couldn’t really taste the strawberry but the cake was tasty and moist.
This cupcake had whipped frosting. It tasted more like blueberry cough syrup. It was a bit tart.
I was surprised that this actually had a light mango taste. It was very good.
Naturally, I already love tiramisu, so I was excited to try this cupcake. The cupcake didn’t really taste like tiramisu but it was yummy. It had a light coffee flavor. The stick on top was made from chocolate.
This cupcake tasted a lot like cotton candy or a sugar cookie. The frosting was whipped.
I just loved the single heart sprinkle; it really stands out on the white frosting. This cake was a plain vanilla; there was nothing special about it.
This one is similar to the Choco Pop except the frosting is a milky chocolate flavor.
This cupcake was so cute. It comes in a tri-color frosting top. First layer was chocolate, the middle layer was vanilla flavored but dyed pink, and the last layer was white vanilla. It reminded me of neapolitan ice cream.
I thought the name was real funny. I loved the cute little cookie decoration which is actually a mini Oreo. The cookie was soft and the cake was more of a chocolate cake.
Compared to the tiramisu, this one had coffee flavored frosting.
Would I shop here again? Yes.
It’s hard to judge the price on these cupcakes. Naturally, on any given day, I wouldn’t buy these cupcakes. The cupcakes from Walmart are 3 times bigger than these and the price is lower (about $3USD – $4USD for 12 piece). However, I was traveling in a different country and if I passed up the chance to try these, I’d never have them! And like I said before, the designs and flavors makes it the perfect one time treat or an awesome gift. They’re so tiny and cute! What better way to surprise your child or lover? In my opinion, this beats flowers any day! ( ˘⌣˘)♡(˘⌣˘ )
My only regret was not buying some of their mini doughnuts!
