I was very conflicted! Should I save money and get the 2 day pass OR the BTS edition pass that comes with a special photocard?
I got the Discover Seoul Pass BTS Edition! (⁄ ⁄>⁄ ▽ ⁄<⁄ ⁄) I had to have it! ♡ (￣З￣) It was too cute and glossy AND it came with a PC!
Look how cute the BTS edition pass is!
It was like a goal accomplished! I finally got my own Discover Seoul Pass BTS Edition! (=^◕ω◕^=) I remember when this pass came out and I really wanted it. I don’t collect BTS merch since it’s a very expensive hobby with all the constant new merch they put out but I really wanted this pass! plus there’s the exclusive PC!
Where I bought it
I bought this through the KLOOK app. You can find the app in Google Play or the Apple Store. You can also use their website!
This pass is only available for 24 hours. I really wanted their 48 hour pass but they don’t have it for the BTS version.
From what I remember, this Discover Seoul Pass BTS Edition cost me $25USD during a special sale. The prices can change over time. I know before my trip the regular Discover Seoul Pass was a different price months before I bought my pass.
pick up / ship
You can choose to have the pass delivered to you or you can pick it up in selected locations. I picked Myeongdong Information Center since I was going to be there anyway.
What the pass covers
Here is what my 24 hour pass included.
I would list all the options available to you but there’s too many to list. If you go to their website, you can pick the pass you want and find out what attractions are FREE and which ones are DISCOUNTED! ┐(︶▽︶)┌ Of course, technically they’re not “free” since I paid for the pass to get into these places.
I used the card for the following FREE attractions:
- Gyeongbokgung Palace
- N Seoul Tower
- Hanboknam (Hanbok rental store)
- Coex Aquarium
- Running Man Arcade Ep1 Treasure Hunt
- SM Museum
- Grevin Hallyu Wax Figures
There were so many other things I could’ve done but I didn’t plan my day as carefully as I thought. I should’ve calculated travel time and how long I should spend in each place. Also, eating, resting and bathroom breaks took time away from certain attractions.
Was the pass worth it? Yes!
It includes many things that are worth seeing and doing so I didn’t think the price was too much; it was a cost effective choice for me since there were many places in the pass that I wanted to see.
It really depends on how many of the places you want to see, how much they cost without the pass and how well you manage your time. If you plan your day(s) really well, it’s a great way to see tourist spots quickly in an affordable manner. You may feel rushed to see places but I think the pass is worth it.
I spent a little over 2 weeks in Seoul and the majority of my time, I spent it eating, sightseeing and shopping. (｡^//ε//^｡) With the pass, I got to see places I would’ve probably skipped without it like the Coex Aquarium or the Grevin Hallyu Wax Figures. With a better plan and the 48 hours pass, I think I would’ve seen everything I wanted to see in Seoul.
Would I buy it again? Yes!
The Discover Seoul Pass BTS edition is the like the regular 24 hour pass except it doesn’t function as a T-Money card. If you’re a BTS fan then you’ll want to add this item to your collection, or maybe you just want it because it’s pretty. Unless there was a new design and new photocard then I probably wouldn’t buy this version again.
However, I would definitely buy another pass next time I’m in Seoul. There were a lot of other places I really wanted to go to but missed like the Teseum Museum, Nami Island, the Korean Folk Village, Aquaplanet Ilsan, SBA Seoul Animation Center, Alive Museum, Seoul Zoo, Eland Cruise, the Figure Museum W, Trickeye Museum and of course, the Lotte World Adventure Park (Honestly, still sad (o╥_╥)o I skipped this one because it was in the Kdrama, “Hyde, Jekyll, Me” with Hyun Bin (# ╯`Д´)╯ ┻━━┻).
Next time! I will definitely be returning to South Korea, so I will go next time! o(⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄o)
my yumdroplets rating
It may seem a bit much to give a perfect score but I was very satisfied with this product; you can say I’m slightly biased though. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)
