While walking through Takeshita Street, I found so many cute shops, and the Pompompurin Café is one I could not resist!

Inside Pompompurin café
As soon as I walked in, I wanted to take photos of everything. The entrance even looks like you’re walking into Pompompurin.
The chairs, the wallpaper, the lights, the artwork, everything in the café is some how designed in the likeness of Pompompurin.
Items and prices on the menu can change over time, but these were the specials while I visited!
The Pompompurin Custard Pudding
This dessert comes with custard pudding in a glass cup (about 3oz/85g), 1 biscuit (cookie beret) dipped in chocolate, & a mini jar of syrup.
For some reason I thought that the face on the cup was drawn with chocolate; I have to say it was a bit of a disappointment. The custard however was very creamy, smooth and delicious. Believe it or not, the syrup on the side was my favorite aspect. I was worried it was going to be maple syrup but thankfully it wasn’t. They give you enough syrup to smother the pudding in it or you can, like me, choose to add a little bit with every bit. The syrup was so smooth, it poured out easily and wasn’t too sticky. I left the cookie for last; it tasted like any other vanilla cookie dipped in chocolate.
The set cost me $500YEN, so about $4.60USD.
Would I eat here again? YES!
Honestly, I’m still bummed I didn’t get to eat everything I actually wanted to. I missed out on the Dream Parfait which is what I initially wanted! I also wanted to have their Pancake Tower & Colorful Flower Curry.
