I added these 2 Totoro LOZ block figures to my collection last year; Totoro and Mei Kusakabe.
I bought each figure for $3.25USD each on AliExpress with free shipping.
These are not compatible with Lego. The block pieces are smaller.
As you can see, the figure looks a lot like the original character. The design is detailed and entertaining. Best part of these “non-official” Brickheadz is that they’re not “block” shaped.
One thing I’ll point out, some of the pieces for this figure were dirty with some kind of brown grease. I’ve ordered several LOZ brand blocks over the years and I’ve never had this problem before. It was a little odd so I sanitized the pieces.
Mei Kusakabe (メイ草壁)
Neither the packaging or the order stated that this figure was Mei Kusakabe [Ghibli Wiki] from My Neighbor Totoro (となりのトトロ), BUT because of the character design, it’s easy to tell that this is her. I’m very happy that it came with a Chu-Totoro as well.
My favorite things about this figure is the rotating head, the hat, the bag strap and the hair.
I really wish they had a Catbus figure considering how popular the character is. I’m glad LOZ is still making some it’s figures with pieces smaller than regular Lego because these figures are less bulky and much cuter than the original Lego Brickheadz.
