Even in Japan is hard finding smaller packets of the Kit Kat. I was lucky to find this 3 pack of the Tokyo Banana Kit Kat at a 7-Eleven.
I was in Japan when I bought this.
I got it at a 7-Eleven in the Okachimachi Station (御徒町駅)
This cost me $150 YEN = about $1.39USD.
This small box brought 3 snack sized packets.
What is Tokyo Banana?
Tokyo Banana is a very popular souvenir brand in Japan. They make banana shaped sponge cakes sold in very aesthetically pleasing colors, flavors and in cute boxes meant to be gifts and souvenirs. It’s really hard to walk away from a Tokyo Banana stall or shop because it all looks so good.
Check out their website. You’ll definitely want to buy at least one Tokyo Banana souvenir if you ever go to Japan.
The Tokyo Banana Kit Kat did taste like banana. It was actually different than what I expected. I thought I was gonna get a banana white chocolate flavored bar with banana flavored creme filling. Instead, the bar is covered in milk chocolate and filled with a banana flavored creme.
The banana flavor was mild in my opinion which kind of worked well because artificial banana flavor tastes like bubble gum anyway. I thought the chocolate was an enjoyable combination even though it overpowered the banana flavor.

Would I buy the Tokyo Banana Kit Kat again? Maybe.
I actually have neve bought a Tokyo Banana product before so I can’t compare the flavor and quality. I know Tokyo Banana is a very popular brand and their products looked amazing. I really wanted to buy a couple of their sets, especially their strawberry and animal print cakes. The sponge cake looked so moist but Tokyo Banana is also an expensive brand. With so many things to do and eat in Japan, I decided not to buy any.
The Tokyo Banana Kit Kat was good but there’s also other, more exciting flavors to try!
