I was happy to get these Lays Summer BLT. I still remember the first bacon flavored Lays years ago. It was when Lays chips started making new flavors.
These limited time chip flavors disappear quickly. When I find new flavors I buy them immediately because when I go back to the store the next day, they’re gone.
I’m still sad I didn’t get to try the Mango Chili Lays.
I bought this at Woodman’s but you might find them in other stores as well.
This 7.5oz (212.6g) bag cost me $3.79USD.
As soon as I opened the bag, there was a strong smell of barbecue. These Lays Summer BLT have a light onion and tomato taste with a hint of bacon. I personally found them very enjoyable. I could taste something creamy; I assumed it was milk or an artificial flavoring of mayonnaise. I looked at the ingredients list and it turns out it was sour cream.

Would I buy the Lays Summer BLT flavor again? Maybe.
As someone who likes BLT sandwiches, I’d rather have a BLT sandwich over chips flavored like one. When Lays first introduced the bacon flavored chips I thought they were very good chips and I wouldn’t mind having them again. As for this Lays Summer BLT, it’s a good taste try but not a flavor I’d buy regularly at the store. I guess that’s why they were limited time only.
