I was very excited for these new Lays Cheetos Cheese chips. I love the taste to Cheetos cheese so I thought it would go great on a potato chip.
I bought these at Pick & Save.
I got lucky. I couldn’t find the flavor anywhere; I thought I missed out. I found them by chance when I stopped by while grocery shopping.
This cost me $2 USD. They were on sale for 2 for $4.
These Lays Cheetos Cheese chips tasted great, but they were also slightly disappointing. Maybe it’s because there’s nothing truly special about them. They tasted exactly like the regular cheddar cheese Cheetos but that was it. The taste is slightly different because the regular Cheetos are made from corn meal and these chips were potatoes.
After some time, I really enjoyed eating the chips; I wished I bought a second bag. However, I think I still prefer the regular Cheetos twigs because the cheese clings on better than sliced potato chips.

Would I buy the Lays Cheetos Cheese chips again? YES.
These were a great alternative to the original Cheetos Cheese twigs. One thing I really enjoyed about these was how thin the potato chips were versus how thick the original twigs are. Because the potato chips are thin slices, they made it easier to chew and put more in my mouth, while the original twigs are oddly shaped and crunchy. Sometimes I just want something lighter, and I think that’s the biggest difference the Lays Cheetos Cheese did well.
