Review: New Kellogg’s Pop Tarts Lemon Creme Pie Flavor!

Last Updated on 2022/04/07

I wasn’t too excited to try the new Pop Tarts Lemon Creme Pie Flavor, but I was curious enough to buy it.

Lemon is a favorite dessert flavor for me. I occasionally enjoy lemon custard pie with fresh fruit but I’m picky about the flavor so when I buy it, it has to be from a specific store or brand. I don’t like lemon flavored desserts that are too sour but also too sweet. It’s rare that I say, “I love this” about any lemon flavored dessert.

With the new flavors released, Kellogg’s Pop Tarts managed to get my attention. I haven’t had a pop tart in years and my top favorite was always the brown sugar flavor. I was wary about this Pop Tarts Lemon Creme Pie flavor.

Product Details

Graham cracker flavored crust and topping, with a very satisfying lemon crème filling. These are good straight out the pouch, but amazing tasting toasted.

I was truly surprised by how this tasted. I was very relunctant about trying it. I was either going to hate it or like it, not love it. Well, I actually loved it!

The bread is buttery and blended well with the sweetness of the lemon flavor. Even though I wished the lemon flavor was a little stronger, I thought there was a good balance of not too sour and not too sweet on the overall taste of the pastry.

I bought this at Meijer.

Would I buy Pop Tarts Lemon Creme Pie Flavor again?

Answer: No.

Worth Trying?: Yes.

I know I said I loved the taste but compared to other flavors, I wouldn’t buy it again. I tried it once and I thought it was good but I would still want to buy another flavor over these or perhaps even just a lemon flavored dessert instead.
