Milano Amaretto Hot Cocoa Cookies, a new holiday Milano cookie flavor was introduced this year!
While their website doesn’t state if these are only available seasonally, by the decoration on the bag and the flavor, I’m assuming they’re only available during fall and winter.
What is amaretto?
Amaretto is a sweet Italian liqueur that means “a little bitter”. It can be made from almonds, bitter almonds, peach stones or apricot kernels. It tends to have a 21% – 28% alcohol volume.
Taste
What’s better than boozy hot cocoa? A boozy hot cocoa cookie!
I absolutely loved these cookies! Even with just opening the bag, the smell is intoxicating. The amaretto is pretty strong but I personally didn’t mind it. I love boozy chocolates so this was perfect flavor to me. The chocolate blended well with the amaretto. The white cream added a creamy sweetness, similar to marshmallow in hot cocoa.

Would I buy Milano Amaretto Hot Cocoa Cookies again?
Answer: Yes.
My regret was not buying more of these to last me for the rest of the year. It’s not everyday that new boozy cookies are made and made well like these. These are definitely worth the try; I think anyone who enjoys alcoholic chocolates or coffee, they’ll love it too.
