Review: I Try Saya Green Pea Crisps!

saya green pea crisps

I always like to try something new whenever I get the chance and I found these Saya Green Pea Crisps a while ago. I finally came around to eating them.

To find these snacks or any other Calbee brand snacks near you, check out Asian and ethnic stores near you. You can use their online locator on their website to find Harvest Snaps brand goods.

This cost me $1.99USD.

Who’s Calbee?

The Calbee brand is a Japanese brand that began producing snacks in North America in the early 1970’s. One of the most known brands that they market in the U.S, is the Harvest Snaps brand; it was originally known at Snapea Crisps.

They also produce/ market snacks in other countries. These Saya Green Pea Crisps are a product of Thailand.

These Saya Green Pea Crisps aren’t something I would eat as snack to pass the time. These definitely tasted “healthy” to me. The crisps tasted and felt like a mixture of green peas and rice crackers.

These are dry and flaky. They felt like each crisp was made by multiple thin layers put together. They’re slightly sweet with some salt.

Would I buy Saya Green Pea Crisps again? No.

While I like that there are more healthy options for snacks available, I just didn’t like these too much. The taste and texture are just not something I enjoyed.
