When I saw the new Little Debbie Mini Zebra Donuts, I thought they were really cute.
I wasn’t expecting these to taste at all that different.from the cakes but I still hoped that they would have a slightly different taste.
Product Details
The classic Zebra Cakes consist of yellow cake that’s layered with a creme filling and covered in white icing and fudge stripes. The donuts are similar, with yellow cake that’s covered with vanilla frosting and fudge stripes. So the only thing missing is the creme filling.

Taste
There’s nothing special about these donuts. I was hoping that the white and chocolate icing would add some kind of flavor to the donuts but they taste like regular vanilla flavored frosted donuts.
You’re essentially buying the “zebra cake” look.

Like I said above, these don’t taste any different than regular mini frosted donuts or the original zebra cakes. It’s just another promotion for Little Debbie’s popular trademark of zebra cakes.
