Review: Bimbo’s Bubulubu Ricolino Mexican Candy!

I don’t think I’ve ever shopped at Latino store without finding this Bubulubu Ricolino Mexican candy.

This isn’t my first time eating it but it is my first time writing up a review. I hope this post encourages you to try something new!

We know it sounds a little different, but it tastes awesome! Bubulubu is a triple delight made of mouth-watering jelly and heavenly-soft marshmallow that’s wrapped in decadent chocolate flavor. Mmm… Get a little bold and a lot of awesome with a regular size (single size). Turn up the fun with a 3 pack, or get the party started with an 8 pack. Taste

The Bubulubu Ricolino is a marshmallow candy with a strawberry flavored gelatinous-gummy covered with chocolate flavored coating.

The marshmallow tastes like regular marshmallow. It has a sticky and bouncy texture. It almost feels like in between circus peanuts and regular fluffy marshmallows; it’s a bit dense. The strawberry “gummy” has a thick gelatinous texture. It’s not quite gummy texture, like gummy bears, but it’s denser than gelatin. I could tell the chocolate wasn’t completely real chocolate. There’s hints of chocolate but it was obvious to me that it was artificially flavored.

Together, it tastes like marshmallows with strawberries and chocolate. It’s a simple yet enjoyable snack. I recommend you try it cold!

Something to note is that this treat is “flavored” so most of it is artificial flavorings.

You can find Bubulubu Ricolino in almost any Spanish or International store in the USA. Just look up Latino supermarkets near you and I’m certain you’ll find it. Walmart and Cermak also have this available, usually in packs of 8.

Would I buy Bubulubu Ricolino again?

Answer: No.

Worth Trying?: At least once.

I’m not a huge fan of marshmallow snacks so I wouldn’t buy this again. I think it’s a fun and tasty treat but I think I’d rather have cake or ice cream. It might be tasty to add it to a scoop of ice cream.

I recommend you try this cold! Just put it in the fridge or the freezer for a few minutes.
